Cris White has been identified as the top pick to become executive director and CEO at the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA).

His official appointment will be made pending the state-mandated 14-day notification period.

The board of directors identified White as its top finalist after a national search.

White was named interim executive director and COO in January. He has been CHFA’s COO since 2001.

He joined CHFA in 1988, serving in various capacities until January 1996. He worked as a business development executive with an international equipment and real estate mortgage lender, and then rejoined CHFA in September 1996 as the director of asset management.

The CEO postion became open after Roy Alexander retired last December after serving in the role for almost nine years.
