Developed by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Renaissance West End Flats includes a 5,500-square-foot health clinic on the first floor, serving homeless and at-risk families on Denver’s West Side.
Rooftop photovoltaic panels generate 56,500 kWh of electricity annually, and the building’s elevators use just one-third of the energy required for hydraulic lifts.
Renaissance West End Flats is located on a central bus route and near a light-rail station.
The $17.4 million development created 50 construction-related jobs and 15 permanent housing and health-care jobs.
Prior to the opening of Renaissance West End Flats, the neighborhood lacked a health center for its most vulnerable residents.
