The 90-unit Sequoia Belle Haven serves seniors earning up to 50% of the area median income. In addition to the 36 returning households who lived at the original Gateway Apartments, 20 units are targeted to households who have lived or worked within the city of Menlo Park, two units are for formerly homeless residents, and 11 units are for households participating in the Cal MediConnect Program, which aims to create a seamless service and health-care experience for dual-eligible beneficiaries of Medicare and Medicaid.
The LEED Platinum community's design supports a goal of healthy living, with a continuing pathway surrounding the property and a fitness center.
