Sage Park is the result of a unique partnership between Los Angeles Unified School District and developer BRIDGE Housing. The community is built on underutilized school district property
Featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, the south L.A. development serves residents earning 30% to 60% of the area median income. The project gives preference to LAUSD employees working within a three-mile radius and then district employees outside of the area. In addition, the project was marketed to the general public, including those with disabilities.
BRIDGE Housing leaders say the
guiding principle used in developing site plan was to create a sustainable
“living-learning” community. Almost 1,200 applications were received for the apartments.
