Trenton, N.J.
Trenton Housing Authority and Pennrose Properties collaborated to replace the crime-infested Carl Miller Homes with the brand-new Rush Crossing. The vibrant townhome community includes 204 mixed-income units for families.
According to the developers, Rush Crossing is the largest community revitalization, affordable development in downtown Trenton, N.J., in the last 25 years.
The transit-oriented development received LEED Silver certification. The development team also acquired off-site parcels to create a safe walkable path to the nearby New Jersey Transit and Amtrak station.
The project also includes a large community room with a kitchenette, an audio-visual recording studio, a dog walk area, a tot lot, a community garden, and two furnished patios.
