The Landing, a 52-unit seniors community, is sparking excitement in downtown Mount Vernon, Ind. The small town is focusing on building the area to become a long-lasting epicenter of activity on the Ohio River waterfront.
Before The Landing was built, two large grain silos obstructed the view of the Ohio River. Today, residents can enjoy sweeping views of the riverfront from the rooftop terrace.
The building was designed with handrails and ramps for optimum accessibility. Meanwhile, units are equipped with energy-efficient appliances to encourage eco-friendly living.
The Landing was developed alongside a riverfront park with luscious green space and an amphitheater. While the building includes commercial space, additional restaurants and retail are also within walking distance of the property.
