The development team, in partnership with the District of Columbia's Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Office, negotiated with the National Park Service to acquire part of an overgrown vacant parcel across the street from the former Parkside Additions project. This enabled the team to create a more transformative community and triple the number of units at the former public housing development.
