The 140-unit Homestead Oaks Apartments is an infill project located on one of the last remaining parcels in southwest Austin, Texas. The 29-acre site was a former homestead where horses and bird dogs were raised. The development is built on less than four acres due to its location in an aquifer recharge zone. In addition, more than 500 oak trees were preserved.
The development features 140 units of family-focused, mixed-income housing with wraparound supportive services.
Homestead Oaks is LEED Gold certified and is the first apartment community in Austin that has installed individual solar arrays tied directly to residential units that will cut down on residents' utility costs.
Families can take advantage of the on-site after-school program and other amenities, which include a play area, a basketball court, and a soccer field.
