Clinton Commons has brought 55 new apartments to the heart of Oakland's Lower San Antonio neighborhood.
At press time, 74 children resided at the development with their families.
The families receive support through partner service providers like Lotus Bloom, which facilitates caregiver/child play groups.
Eleven of the 55 units are set aside for special-needs households. These residents are provided with individual supportive services and case management through LifeLong Medical Care.
The transit-oriented project earned LEED-Platinum certification and features solar-assisted domestic hot water heating, Energy Star lighting and appliances, drought-tolerant landscaping, and water-conserving fixtures and irrigation system.
