Donner Lofts is home to residents earning from 20% to 50% of the area median income, including several health-care aides and airport workers. Twenty units target formerly homeless individuals who receive extensive on-site services.
The LEED Gold development is part of the city of San Jose’s vision to revitalize its urban downtown area. Donner Lofts has transformed a blighted neighborhood corner near City Hall.
In partnership with a network of service providers, MidPen Resident Services Corp. manages many on-site programs for residents, including financial literacy courses, vocational development, computer lab assistance, health and wellness programs, and access to other community resources.
