The DePaul Carriage Factory Apartments is the result of a $23 million restoration and reuse plan on the former Cunningham Carriage Factory in Rochester, N.Y.
The development features 71units for households earning at or below 50% of the area median income. Thirty-nine of those units will house New York State Office of Mental Health clients with special needs, who will receive ongoing support services from DePaul Community Services, Inc.
The James Cunningham name was revered all over the world for being makers of high-quality transportation vehicles from coaches and carriages to airplanes. An original Cunningham carriage was purchased from a Vermont collector and is displayed centrally in the lobby on wood from the original flooring.
Residents have access to a community room and a computer room with Wi-Fi access.
