Access Housing

Access Housing has contributed substantially to Chicago’s affordable housing stock by adding 54 units of accessible, affordable housing in an area where affordability was a challenge and accessibility was virtually nonexistent.

Access Housing

Located in the Logan Square neighborhood, the scattered-site development is a colorful mix of new construction and rehabbed foreclosures spread across 25 sites.

Access Housing

The 54 one- and two-bedroom units meet Energy Star standards, incorporate significant wheelchair accessibility features, and offer affordable, integrated, permanent rental housing for people with disabilities. Each new constructed building was designed to complement surrounding architecture of the current housing on its block.

Access Housing

Developer Home First was created in partnership between IFF and Access Living, a disability rights advocacy group. Access Living serves as an advocate and a consultant on all Home First developments, including Access Housing.
