REACH Announces CEO
Daniel Valliere has been named CEO of REACH Community Development in Portland, Ore.
He joins the affordable housing nonprofit after serving as the executive director of Chicago Commons, an educational and social services provider.
Valliere replaces REACH’s longtime leader Dee Walsh, who left to join the Housing Partnership Network as executive vice president of peer learning and membership engagement.
BRIDGE Names Vice President
Armando E. Zumaya has been appointed vice president of fund development at BRIDGE Housing.
In this newly created position, he will lead the organization’s fundraising strategy to expand programs that serve residents in BRIDGE communities.
Zumaya joins BRIDGE from Playworks, a national nonprofit that transforms schools by providing play and physical activity at recess and throughout the school day.
Paramore Joins Boston Financial
Thomas Paramore Jr. has joined Boston Financial Investment Management as senior vice president of equity production.
In his new role, he will be primarily responsible for acquisition activities in the Midwest. Paramore comes to the firm from PNC Real Estate.
Clifford Beers Housing Names Executive
Cristian Ahumada has become executive director of Clifford Beers Housing, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit supportive housing developer. He is taking over for founding executive director James Bonar, who is retiring.
Ahumada joins the organization after serving as director of housing at Skid Row Housing Trust. During his 20-year career, Ahumada has been involved in affordable housing development, tax credit syndication, disposition, and asset management.
LIHTC Veterans Launch Firm
Three low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) industry veterans have joined forces at Affordable Investment Advisors. Greg Judge, Mike Caliva, and Catherine Talbot are partners behind the new firm that will provide services to developers, investors, and syndicators. They have a combined 55 years of LIHTC experience.
All three were recently with Boston Financial Investment Management, where Judge was COO; Caliva, vice president; and Talbot, senior vice president.
Greystone Names Construction Management Head
Justin Patwin has joined Greystone Affordable Housing Initiatives as director of construction management.
He and his team are responsible for coordinating and managing contractors and consultants to rehabilitate client affordable housing portfolios.
Centerline Names Debt Director
James F. Boris III has joined Centerline Capital Group as director of the affordable housing debt division. He will operate out of Centerline’s Chicago office and will be responsible for originating and closing loans nationwide.
He was the founder and CEO of Paradise Senior Communities.
The John Stewart Co. Names COO
Noah Schwartz has joined The John Stewart Co., a leading California developer, owner, and manager, as COO.
He was previously with Community Services of Arizona.
Affirmed Announces New Members
Affirmed Housing Group, a San Diego-based affordable housing developer, has announced that Jimmy Silverwood and Jeanne Blake have joined the firm as assistant project managers.
Pennrose Names CFO
Donald L. Miller Jr. has been appointed CFO of Pennrose, a leading affordable housing developer and property management firm.
He joins from Prestige Affordable Housing Equity Partners, a member of The Michaels Organization, where he was involved in the syndication of LIHTCs as vice president.
