Affordable Housing Finance and sister publication Apartment Finance Today have recently relaunched www.HousingFinance.com to bring you an updated and more comprehensive resource for financing, developing, and operating affordable and market-rate rental housing. You will find an easier-to-navigate homepage with new features. View the most recent magazine features, our collection of web-exclusive news articles, guest commentaries from industry leaders, special magazine projects, Twitter feeds for @ahfmag and @aftmagazine, social media links, an industry calendar, and a chart that reflects the closing interest rates daily.
The new navigation bar delivers targeted information divided up by five categories: News, Finance, Development, Policy & Legislation, and Management & Operations. The News section features the most recent news for both the affordable housing and market-rate industries, as well as updates for the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, South Central, Midwest, and West regions. The Finance section organizes the articles by the various financing types, including the low-income housing tax credit, FHA , government-sponsored enterprises, and debt financing for both affordable and market-rate properties. Our Development section covers strategies and different development types for multifamily housing, from green building and student housing to developments for seniors and those with special needs. Our Policy & Legislation section is broken down into three main categories: Taxation, Housing Finance, and Federal Programs, and then we also feature state and local policy and legislation news by region. You will also find articles about industry advocacy and research in this section. Last, we have our Management & Operations, which features articles on asset management, property management, and technology.
HousingFinance.com articles are now easier to read, share, and comment on. You’ll find more images and slideshows with the articles on the site, and you can now send articles to colleagues via e-mail or more than a dozen social media sites. You also can start industry dialogue or provide your reaction or questions once you have finished viewing an article. We encourage all readers to post their thoughts at the end of any article.
Within each article, you’ll also notice a number of links, including the publication, issue, year, and byline. Clicking any of these will take you to related search results giving you more information. At the end of each article, you’ll notice Related Articles and Related Topics, which are included to take you deeper into the subject matter.
