An examination of the election results and what they mean for the affordable housing industry will be one of the highlights of the AHF Live virtual conference, Nov. 16-19.

The Capitol Hill Update session, slated for 1:30 p.m. Eastern on Nov. 17, is especially timely and important this year, coming just two weeks after the election. David Gasson, executive director of the Housing Advisory Group; Emily Cadik, executive director of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition; and Stockton Williams, executive director of the National Council of State Housing Agencies will share their perspectives on the election and the prospects for key housing legislation.

The virtual conference is free to affordable housing developers and owners as well as housing finance agency representatives this year; there is a fee for service providers and others. For more information and to register, visit ahflive.com.

The conference will focus on a different track each day: leadership, policy, finance, and development. Key sessions this year include the State of the Industry Power Panel, Affordable Housing’s Role in Ensuring Social Justice, A 2021 Forecast for LIHTC Allocations, What’s Ahead at HUD, Weighing Your Debt Financing Options, Tapping Into Bond Financing, Tax Credit Equity Outlook Power Panel, AHF 50 Developers Best Practices, Emerging Building Techniques, and Preparing for Year 15 and Aging Properties. In addition, Chris Herbert, managing director of Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies, will deliver the keynote on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Plus, AHF Live will host a virtual Women in Affordable Housing Happy Hour and its annual Awards Ceremony to recognize this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, Young Leaders, and Readers’ Choice Award winners.

Finally, we will host a separate two-hour Tax Credit and Tax-Exempt Bond Boot Camp prior to the conference. This pre-conference workshop will require a separate fee.
