President-elect Joe Biden has selected Rep. Marcia Fudge of Ohio to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to a report in Politico.

Fudge, a member of the House Agriculture Committee, and her allies in the Congressional Black Caucus had lobbied openly for the USDA job, says the story.

She is a co-sponsor of H.R. 3077, the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act.
