Apartment firms are generally happy – but not ecstatic – with their property management software, according to the National Multi Housing Council’s (NMHC) Property Management Software User Satisfaction Scorecard. The survey of users of 16 property management software products also found that users were not impressed with the amount of improvements in the products over the past year.
Other highlights of the NMHC survey include: the average user is slightly more than “somewhat satisfied” with product support, documentation, training, and downtime response; users of Web-based offerings were happier than users of desktop software with the way their systems integrated with third-party and back-office applications; users who had their software and data hosted by their software provider gave high ratings for speed and connection times, data security, and data access; and overall satisfaction with reporting and data management capabilities fell slightly over the past year but was still in the “somewhat satisfied” area. TCG Technologies, LLC, is integrating the Online Rental Exchange into its i-CAM property management software.
