“Affordable Housing’s New Normal” is the theme of the third annual AHF Live: Housing Developers Forum, reflecting the many and dramatic changes happening in the industry this year.
The conference will be held April 26-28 at the New Orleans Marriott.
The interactive event will bring together thought leaders to discuss how the new political landscape affects business and what is ahead in terms of financing and housing policy for the short and long term. The nation’s top developers and owners also will tackle the challenges and opportunities they are seeing in the market as well as some of their best practices.
"This is yet another pivotal time for our industry," says Rob Britt, publisher of Affordable Housing Finance. "We need to step up our efforts to empower developers to deliver new housing supply efficiently and cost effectively to those who need it most. Some of the uncertainties created by the recent election will require a new plan of action. Our move to New Orleans and expanded programming is expected to attract a broader audience of developers and service providers to discuss how to make the most of the new environment."
New sessions will include an AHF 50 Developers Power Panel and an AHF 50 Owners Power Panel, featuring several of the nation’s top affordable housing executives discussing how their firms are addressing today’s market challenges. AHF will also present a Post-Election Washington Update, a LIHTC Market Diagnosis, and Lessons from Prior Real Estate Cycles.
Attendees will be able to network as well as learn best practices and new strategies.
Attendance is reserved for people who are primarily owners and developers of affordable housing plus representatives of housing finance agencies and nonprofit organizations focused on the business of affordable housing.
The early-bird registration rate is $449 and expires Friday, Feb. 3. After that, regular registration is $549. For more information or to register, visit www.ahfliveforum.com.
