Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business dedicated the space for the NRP & Millennia Property Management Center and celebrated the launch of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Property Management program for the fall semester.
The new space will serve as a hub for student engagement activities, including employer engagement visits, extracurricular programming, and open houses. The new major will prepare graduates for careers in real estate and property management in a variety of industries. Along with the major, a minor in property management and a certificate in real estate and property management are available to enhance students’ areas of study and expand their career opportunities.
The programs are supported by a dedicated undergraduate business adviser and newly hired professor of practice Alan Schmiedicker, who has over 30 years in the asset and property management industry.
The NRP Group and The Millennia Cos., two leading affordable housing developers headquartered in Cleveland, teamed with the university to create the center.
“This partnership with Cleveland State University, The Millennia Cos., and the NRP Group provides students with a unique opportunity to gain skills, build a network and excel in property management,” said Frank T. Sinito, CEO of Millennia. “In the coming months and years, I look forward to working with more and more students who have chosen this academic program to launch a rewarding career in the industry.”
“The NRP Group is incredibly proud to partner with Cleveland State University and The Millennia Cos. to create a program for students to explore opportunities and build fundamental skills in property management,” said J. David Heller, NRP president and CEO.
