Mission First Housing Group and ACHIEVEability are combining forces in Philadelphia.

The two nonprofits recently entered into a memorandum of understanding and anticipate their “strategic alliance” becoming official before the year’s end. At that time, ACHIEVEability will be part of Mission First. The ACHIEVEability name and model for providing social services will remain.

When combined, the organization will administer more than 2,500 homes for low-income individuals and families throughout the Philadelphia region and the mid-Atlantic states.

The move “will create a platform for growth by Mission First into services and adds dimension to ACHIEVEability’s real estate holdings,” says Walter M. Kubiak, CEO of Mission First, in a press statement.

Mission First develops and manages affordable housing. ACHIEVEability assists low-income and at-risk families and individuals through a variety of education, housing, and supportive service programs.
