NEF Names S.V.P. of Underwriting Group
Joe Forgue has been named senior vice president of National Equity Fund’s (NEF’s) underwriting group. He will broaden the role of underwriting in closing deals, providing a more comprehensive and streamlined process, said the company.
Forgue most recently worked as senior vice president and chief underwriter of the construction lending group at Capmark Finance, formerly known as GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corp. He had previously been with NEF from 1997 to 2001, serving as vice president of special servicing.
In addition, Judy Schneider moves from chief credit officer to chief risk officer, strengthening NEF’s ability to closely monitor broader risk issues impacting its portfolio.
Enterprise Names Policy V.P.
Diane Yentel has been named vice president of public policy at Enterprise Community Partners. She will lead the teams responsible for the day-to-day activities that advance the organization’s policy and advocacy agenda.
Yentel joined Enterprise in 2011 as a director of public policy and government affairs. Prior to that, she was director of the public housing management and occupancy division at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. She also worked for more than a decade developing and advocating for low-income housing policies and appropriations at several organizations, including the National Low Income Housing Coalition, Oxfam America, the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, and as a community development Peace Corps volunteer
Former HUD Attorney Joins Nixon Peabody
Susanna Cogill Mitchell has joined the affordable housing team at Nixon Peabody.
A former attorney and adviser at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, she works on multifamily housing, nursing home, and hospital loans. She is also well versed in the statutory, regulatory, and programmatic requirements of federal housing and health-care programs.
New Development Firm Launches
Kristi Morgan and Christopher Jaye have announced the formation of Mirus Partners, a development firm focused on affordable properties, third-party development, and project management. The company is based in Middleton, Wis.
Morgan will continue to serve as COO for Silverstone Partners. Jaye will continue to serve as president of Antach Management Corp.
