Citi Appoints New Team Leaders

Mark Dean and Richard Gerwitz have been appointed co-heads of Citi Community Capital’s Project Finance Team. They will direct Citi’s affordable rental housing lending, mortgage, and investment banking team.

Steven Fayne, previous head of Project Finance, will focus on expanding Citi’s conventional mortgage banking activities.

Trevino Joins HUD

Tammye H. Trevino was sworn in as regional administrator for the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) Southwest Region. She is responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Trevino was recently the administrator for housing and community facilities programs at the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development agency, where she managed national loan and grant programs to help rural communities and individuals.

Hunt Names CFO

Clay Parker has been appointed executive vice president and CFO of Hunt Cos.

He succeeds William Kell, who is retiring after 10 years in the position. Kell will assist in the transition and will continue to serve on the firm’s board of directors as an external member.

Parker is a seasoned financial executive, having served as a CFO for more than eight years. He was previously executive vice president and CFO for Prometheus Real Estate Group.

Hunt is a diversified real estate operator involved in development, investment, and management with a focus on multifamily housing, public-private partnerships, military housing, community development, and investment management.

Bellwether Enterprise Hire to Open Chicago Office

John Powell has joined Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital as director of agency production. He will be responsible for expanding the firm’s Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Federal Housing Administration production platform and will open a new Chicago office.

Bellwether Enterprise is the commercial and multifamily mortgage banking subsidiary of Enterprise Community Investment, Inc.

Prior to joining the company, Powell served as senior managing director at Red Capital Group in Chicago and previously as co-head of production. He also managed the Chicago region for Fannie Mae. He is chairman of the board of Mercy Housing Lakefront.

 

Red Mortgage Adds to Senior Team

James P. Hensley has become a senior managing director at Red Mortgage Capital.

He will play a critical role in overseeing the multifamily originations platform and leading the firm’s expansion plans in both footprint and services nationwide. Hensley is based in Atlanta.

Before joining Red, he served as a principal with Prudential Mortgage Capital Co.

MacFarlane Partners Announces Assistant V.P.

Toks Ladejobi has been hired as assistant vice president, investment, at MacFarlane Partners. He will be in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

He comes to MacFarlane Partners from CWCapital Asset Management, where he served as a senior associate. Prior to that, he was a senior associate with Prudential Real Estate Investors.

MacFarlane Partners is an investor and developer of properties that promote smart growth and urban revitalization.

Friedman Adds Partner

Lee Shields has joined Friedman, LLP, as a partner. He will work out of the accounting and advisory firm’s Marlton, N.J. office.

Shields has more than 20 years of public accounting and tax experience with clients in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, manufacturing, distribution, technology and various service industries such as legal and medical practices.
