Industry Veteran Joins The NRP Group

Andrew Bailey has been named vice president of development in Ohio and the Midwest for The NRP Group, a leading affordable housing developer, builder, and manager.

Bringing nearly two decades of extensive experience in housing policy, public finance, and real estate development, Bailey will help lead the company’s development efforts in the region, with a focus on affordable, workforce, and market-rate housing. 

He will advance deal origination, site acquisition, and public-private partnerships. Reporting to and working closely with executive vice president of development Aaron Pechota, he will guide projects from early feasibility and capital structuring through closing and construction, supporting the firm’s continued expansion. 

Prior to joining The NRP Group, Bailey served as vice president of real estate development at CHN Housing Partners, where he led a 10-person team advancing development initiatives across Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he held executive development roles at for-profit affordable housing companies leading the acquisition, financing, and closing of multifamily communities throughout the country. He also served as director of planning, preservation, and development for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency.

Since 1994, the Cleveland-based firm has developed more than 68,000 apartment homes nationwide and manages over 33,000 residential units across the United States. In Ohio, the company has developed more than 5,000 rental homes.

Lument Grows Debt Capital Markets Team

Israel Leiner has joined Lument as a managing director on the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team.

Based in New Jersey, Leiner will originate debt and preferred equity financing solutions for commercial real estate clients nationwide. 

Prior to joining Lument, he served as a managing director, capital markets, at Walker & Dunlop. Before that, he was vice president at Meridian Capital Group. Throughout his career, he has closed more than 200 loans totaling over $2 billion in financing. His expertise spans construction, bridge, and permanent financing across apartment, office, and retail assets, with multifamily transactions accounting for most of his production. He also brings extensive experience sourcing capital from banks, debt funds, life insurance companies, commercial mortgage-backed securities lenders, and private capital providers.

Lument has completed over $1.9 billion in debt placement volume since launching its DCM platform in 2024.

Wallick Announces Promotion

Jeannie Clayton has been elevated to senior vice president of asset management at Wallick.

In this new position, she will continue to refine the asset management division’s role as the owner’s representative and financial steward, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to preserving affordable housing communities.

Most recently, Clayton served as vice president of closing and real estate management, overseeing the Wallick team responsible for the company’s tax credit, acquisition, disposition, and refinance closings.

She joined the company in 2015; since then, she has played a key role in growing the asset management division’s team and refining the company’s closing and real estate management processes. Her prior roles at Wallick include serving as a paralegal in the asset management department and as a real estate specialist, senior closing manager, and director of acquisitions in its asset management and development divisions.

Headquartered in New Albany, Ohio, Wallick serves the affordable housing, workforce housing, and senior living markets. It has more than 1,100 associates across five business divisions: development, construction, asset management, affordable housing operations, and senior living operations.

Freda Statom-Greene has been appointed vice president of resource development and advancement and Emily Busch has been promoted to vice president of portfolio management at the East Bay Asian Local Development Corp. (EBALDC).

Statom-Greene brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience to the organization. She has held senior leadership roles with The Hidden Genius Project, Blueprint Schools Network, YWCA Berkeley/Oakland, and The Education Trust–West.

Emily Busch

Busch has more than a decade of experience in affordable housing, spanning real estate development and asset management. In her new role, she oversees a portfolio of more than 2,000 affordable housing units, with a focus on long-term financial and physical planning, portfolio performance, and strategic transactions that strengthen and stabilize EBALDC’s real estate assets.
