McDowell Housing Partners Names Director of Finance

Josh Anderson has been appointed director of finance at McDowell Housing Partners (MHP), where he will lead deal-related finance and underwriting across the firm’s development portfolio, including transaction structuring and modeling, financing negotiations and application review, and lender and investor relationship management.

He brings affordable housing development and finance experience across multiple states. Anderson has worked on more than 33 transactions totaling approximately 5,000 units and involving more than 30 financing sources.

MHP is an affordable housing developer and investor with more than 3,100 units across Florida and Texas since 2019.

CPC Expands Leadership Team With Senior Hires

The Community Preservation Corp. (CPC), a mission-driven nonprofit multifamily housing finance company, has added four senior leaders across its lending, capital markets, legal, and technology teams.

Kristen Fontana has joined as head of capital strategies from Wells Fargo Securities, where she most recently served as executive director and head of public finance credit strategy and sustainable finance. During her 15-year tenure at Wells Fargo, she held several leadership positions overseeing credit analysis, serving as lead strategist to a diverse range of public finance clients and driving business development. Earlier in her career, she held roles with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley. She brings decades of capital markets experience supporting mission-oriented organizations and public-sector financing.

Rachel Grossman has joined as head of permanent mortgage lending and capital solutions. She is responsible for leading CPC's permanent lending platform and developing permanent lending products to support the work of CPC Capital. Grossman recently served as managing director, head of agency affordable housing and permanent lending, at JPMorganChase. Throughout her career at JPMorganChase, Wells Fargo, and New York City Housing Development Corp., she has held leadership roles across affordable housing finance, helping to build and expand lending platforms, develop financing programs, and structure complex multifamily transactions. She brings deep expertise in multifamily capital markets with a focus on affordable housing, as well as longstanding relationships across the government-sponsored enterprises, public agencies, and mission-driven housing sector.

Doug Stevinson has joined as deputy general counsel for litigation. In this role, he will help strengthen CPC's legal platform by aligning legal strategy with organizational growth, operational performance, and fiduciary responsibilities. Stevinson is well known to CPC, having served as a lead partner at Windels Marx, where he worked closely with the organization on numerous Community Stabilization Partners workouts and enforcement actions. With nearly 30 years of experience providing legal counsel on complex litigation, governance, and risk management matters, he brings extensive expertise that will support CPC across its growing portfolio of initiatives.

Serge Suponitskiy has joined as chief information officer. He will work closely with the information technology team to enhance and integrate CPC's technology systems and workflows, driving operational efficiency, supporting growth across business lines, and elevating the customer experience. Suponitskiy brings more than 25 years of IT leadership experience spanning digital transformation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, automation, and enterprise systems. He most recently served as chief information officer and managing partner at Excel Security Corp. Previously, he led the development of enterprisewide technology functions at Brosnan Risk Consultants.

LaSalle Investment Management Boosts Affordable Housing Team

Andrew Mika has been named senior vice president, affordable housing, at LaSalle Investment Management, a global real estate investment manager.

He brings extensive experience in affordable and multifamily housing, with expertise in preserving existing affordable housing stock and a proven track record of investing and operating across U.S. markets.

Mika recently served as a partner in Haven Housing Group and vice president of originations at Lincoln Avenue Capital, where he joined as the company's third employee. In this role, he focused on sourcing various acquisitions and played an instrumental part in both the company's internal growth and portfolio expansion.

His appointment signals LaSalle's continued commitment to expanding its presence in the affordable housing sector, according to company leaders.
