Boston Financial Appoints CFO

Bridget McGregor has been named chief financial officer and a member of the executive leadership team at Boston Financial, a leading low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) syndicator. In her new role, she leads financial strategy, accounting, and reporting operations for the firm.

With more than 25 years of real estate and affordable housing experience, McGregor has served as deputy chief financial officer at Boston Financial since 2023. 

Earlier in her career, she served as chief accounting officer at GID Investment Advisers, overseeing financial reporting and accounting across multiple investment platforms. McGregor has held leadership roles at Guggenheim Real Estate and began her career in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

Boston Financial manages a $16.4 billion LIHTC portfolio comprising over 1,700 properties.

J.P. Morgan Names Lead for Community Development Banking Central Region

J.P. Morgan has announced the appointment of Cassandra Silvernail as the central region division manager within its community development banking team. 

Beginning in July, Silvernail will lead a team that provides financing for the creation and preservation of affordable and workforce housing, as well as tax credit equity investments in the central region. In 2025, the firm extended $10 billion in debt and equity to create and preserve 60,000 affordable housing units nationwide.

She brings more than two decades of experience in community and commercial real estate finance, most recently serving as the south region credit executive at Bank of America, where she was responsible for originating and underwriting of LIHTC, historic tax credit, and New Markets Tax Credit equity investments in addition to traditional affordable housing construction financing. 

BakerHostetler Adds to Community Development Team

Nicholas Carson has joined BakerHostetler as a partner in the law firm’s business practice group and a member of the community development team. He is based in Chicago.

Carson’s practice centers on structuring and advising on investment and financing transactions involving federal tax incentives, including renewable energy, historic, and New Markets tax credits. He works with corporations, financial institutions, and syndicators on equity investments, tax credit transfers, and acquisition transactions, and he counsels developers and lenders on financing for tax credit‑driven projects.
