Susan DiMickele has been selected to lead National Church Residences, one of the nation’s largest providers of affordable housing. She will be only the fourth president and CEO in the organization’s 60-year history.

DiMickele will step into the top role June 30 when Mark Ricketts retires.

Senior vice president of senior living and senior services at National Church Residences, she has been with the Ohio-based nonprofit for nearly seven years. Prior to joining the organization, she was a partner with the Squire Patton Boggs law firm, where she co-led its global labor and employment practice group.

“Susan is a seasoned business leader and has already made a significant impact on the organization,” said Greg Overmyer, chair of the National Church Residences board of directors, in a statement. “Susan has the experience, the leadership qualities, and, most importantly, embodies our mission to serve and improve the lives of older adults across the country.”

DiMickele served as the organization’s first general counsel, established the legal department, and has recently been leading efforts to diversify the organization’s service offerings.

National Church Residences provides an array of health care services and a variety of housing options to 46,000 seniors.
