Dominium, a leading affordable housing owner, developer, and manager, announced that Mark Moorhouse and Kyle Hansen will share leadership responsibilities as co-CEOs.

The move comes as senior managing partner Paul Sween, who has been with the company for 36 years, becomes chairman of Dominium’s board of directors. He will set the board’s agenda and remain a partner in the firm.

As co-CEO and chief development officer, Moorhouse will lead the overall strategy and direction of the company in partnership with Hansen while continuing to oversee Dominium’s development department.

Hansen will also become co-CEO while continuing his role as chief operating officer, in which he oversees property management and corporate services. Moorhouse and Hansen remain partners in the firm.

With offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, and Minneapolis, Dominium owns, develops, and manages more than 40,000 apartment homes in more than 220 communities nationwide.

Sween was inducted into Affordable Housing Finance’s Hall of Fame in 2024.

In addition, Dominium is advancing three other executives. Paula Prahl will become chief operating officer of development. Her role will be focused on systems and process improvement as well as information flows and resources, all focused on increasing the development of affordable housing. She will continue to lead government relations, communications, and Dominium Gives, with the addition of the development operations, development coordinator, and administrative teams. Prahl remains a partner in the company.

Chris Lahna will become president of property management where he will continue to lead and improve all aspects of the firm’s property management business as well as lead the human resources team. Lahna remains a partner in the firm.

As president of development, Nick Andersen will assume responsibility for maximizing Dominium’s housing production and volume through the professional development and training of Dominium’s project partners, associates, and analysts. Andersen remains a project partner in the firm.
