A 57-unit permanent supportive housing development is being built in the Westlake-MacArthur Park neighborhood of Los Angeles with the help of approximately $12 million in financing from Boston Capital.

The investment represents the firm’s 27th partnership with developer Affirmed Housing of San Diego.
"With our good friend and partner Jim Silverwood and the folks at Affirmed Housing, we are excited to be involved in creating much-needed supportive housing for individuals facing homelessness in Los Angeles," said Jack Manning, president and CEO of Boston Capital. "We are thrilled to be part of a team helping fill a great need for permanent supportive housing in California and helping individuals transition from homelessness."
Aria Apartments will feature studios and nine one-bedroom units, as well as one manager's unit. Unit amenities will include central heating and air conditioning, dishwashers, and disposals. Development amenities will include a laundry room, a computer room, bike parking, a planting area, an outdoor grill, and a ground-level dining area. Residents will benefit from on-site supportive services by Homeless Health Care LA, which will provide intensive case management services for the 56 homeless individuals.
Aria Apartments will be built with low-income housing tax credit equity from Boston Capital. The firm’s investment in this development will add 57 affordable homes to its apartment portfolio. To date, Boston Capital has invested in nearly 16,000 affordable apartments in California.
