The Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC) recently awarded LIHTCs to four developments. They are the first from the state’s 2014 housing credit competition.

“Housing credits are vitally important to adding affordable housing in Washington state, especially for seniors and people with low income,” said Karen Miller, chair of WSHFC, in a statement. “We are proud to be a part of financing these worthy projects.”

The financed projects are:

  • Plaza Roberta Maestas, a 110-unit development in Seattle by El Centro de la Raza, received a $2 million reservation;
  • Veterans housing and services, a 44-unit development for vets in Federal Way by the Multi-Service Center, received an $834,070 reservation;
  • Interbay Supportive Housing, a 97-unit development for chronically homeless residents in Seattle by the Downtown Emergency Services Center, received a $1.5 million reservation; and
  • Vantage Point Apartments—Phase 2, a 45-unit development for seniors in Renton by the King County Housing Authority, received a $922,950 reservation.
