Community Housing Partners (CHP) has expanded its presence in North Carolina with the purchase of a 142-unit affordable housing development in Winston-Salem.

The firm recently acquired Kensington Village Apartments from The Finch Group, which purchased the development in 2005 and then renovated the property by 2009.

Community Housing Partners is excited about the opportunity to serve the residents at Kensington Village Apartments and the greater Winston-Salem area,” said Kirsten Anderson, CHP vice president of asset management. “We have a growing multifamily rental portfolio across six states in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, and Kensington Village will be a welcome addition to our North Carolina presence.”

Jennifer D. Stein with JDS Real Estate Services and Jeffrey Clousing with Affordable Housing Investment Brokerage represented The Finch Group in the $6.4 million deal.

Founded in 1975, Virginia-based CHP provides quality-built, responsibly managed, service-enriched homes for low-income individuals and families across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
