Thirty-eight inspiring developments have been named finalists in Affordable Housing Finance’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The communities include the first multifamily housing development designed with and for the Deaf community in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the adaptive reuse of a historic school for African American students in Charleston, South Carolina; and housing for workers in the mountain resort town of Breckenridge, Colorado.

Each of the finalists has a story to tell, often of ingenuity and always of answering a critical need in their community. Selected from 160 entries, the finalists are in 21 states, from Hawaii to Massachusetts, and in small towns and major metros, from Princeton, West Virginia, to New York City.

AHF magazine and newsletter subscribers can vote for the winners in nine categories as well as an overall winner at housingfinance.com. Voting takes place Aug. 1 to Aug. 19 and is restricted to subscribers as of Aug 5.

The winners will be recognized at AHF Live: The Affordable Housing Developers’ Summit, Nov. 18-20, in Chicago.
