Special-Needs Finalist: Encanto Pointe

Encanto Pointe is in Phoenix’s Devonshire neighborhood, which has a large Native American population.

The $10.5 million development is the first Housing First community built from the ground up in Arizona, according to developer Native American Connections.

The project replaces a blighted mobile home park.

Ten HUD-VASH vouchers are assisting veterans at Encanto Pointe.

Encanto Pointe has 54 units of permanent supportive housing that targets chronically homeless individuals. One resident had lived on the streets for 20 years.
