Special-Needs Finalist: 97 Crooke Avenue

The $15.3 million development features 32 studios for formerly homeless individuals and 20 for low-income individuals.

CAMBA Housing Ventures acquired the land from a Caledonia Hospital bankruptcy sale in 2007.

97 Crooke Avenue is two blocks from Brooklyn’s largest park—Prospect Park.

97 Crooke Avenue was selected as Brooklyn’s best supportive housing by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in 2012. It also received a Brick in Architecture award from the Brick Industry Association.

An affiliate of CAMBA Housing Ventures, CAMBA, Inc., will provide residents with case management and other services.
