The Domain Cos. remediated a contaminated brownfield in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood to create Eleven33, a LEED Gold, mixed-income community.
Eleven33 is the first major mixed-income development to be completed in an area that the city has targeted for redvelopment with rezoning, incentives, and infrastructure in more than a decade. The 209-unit development serves households earning 40%, 50%, and 175% of the area median income as well as market rates.
New York City-based Studio 9 designed a modern building that was reflective of the historic neighborhood's diverse character of warehouse and residential architecture. Greenpoint-based hOmE Studios, known for designing some of the city's cutting-edge restaurant spaces, sourced nearly all the furnishings, fixtures, and artwork from Brooklyn for the amenity area interiors.
Future Green Studios designed over 20,000 square feet of outdoor space on the rooftop and large courtyard areas. Additional amenities include a resident lounge with a full kitchen and workspace areas, a fitness center, a pet grooming and washing station, and an outdoor kitchen and children's play area.
