Owners and Developers: Stand Up and Be Counted

2009 is not quite over yet, but the editors of Affordable Housing Finance are already looking ahead to 2010. One of the magazine’s big projects for the year is the AHF 50, which will feature the top 50 affordable housing owners and developers in the April/May issue.

This will be our fourth year doing the survey and compiling these top 50 lists, which are the only lists of their kind for the affordable housing industry. But it’s not just the lists that are important, it’s also the other data we gather from the surveys and share with the readers.

In 2009, we received almost 100 surveys. We learned that 30 percent of owners and developers planned to reduce or slow the pipeline of new developments this year and that they expected the average tax credit pricing to be $0.75. Regardless if you’re big or small, we want to hear from you about how you fared in 2009 and what your plans are for 2010.

So if you develop or own affordable housing, don’t miss the chance to tell the nation about your accomplishments and challenges. Complete this survey by Feb. 17, 2010, for an opportunity to be included in the April/May issue. Fax to (415) 315-1248, mail to Donna Kimura, Affordable Housing Finance, 33 New Montgomery, Suite 290, San Francisco, CA, 94105, or e-mail to dkimura@hanleywood.com.
