Bill Seeks Extra LIHTCs for Irene-Damaged Areas

Rep. Chris Gibson (R-N.Y.) has introduced a bill that would provide additional low-income housing tax credits for states hard hit by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee last year.

H.R. 3769 has been referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

The disaster area would be treated as a difficult development area under the bill.
