Forty developments that will provide 2,498 housing units have received low-income housing tax credit reservations from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.

The large number of units is the highest number produced in a single cycle in the state, according to agency leaders.

Receiving about $22 million in LIHTCs, the projects are located in 33 counties across North Carolina. Officials also approved one tax-exempt bond project with 180 units.
