Riverstone Hires SVPs
APARTMENT FINANCE TODAY • September 2008
Craig Rooney has been named
senior vice president of Dallas-based
Riverstone Residential Group.
Rooney will oversee a portfolio of
more than 12,000 apartments units
located in Southern California. He
previously served as regional vice
president for Western National
Group, where he oversaw a portfolio
of 7,000 units and was also active in
new business development.
Additionally, the firm has named
Heather Slack senior vice president
for the Northern California region.
Slack will oversee management
operation for more than 9,000 units
in the San Francisco Bay Area and
Sacramento. She previously served
as national director of new business
development for Alliance
Residential. During her tenure with
the company, she also served as
director of West Coast acquisitions
and, prior to this position, as vice
president of the Pacific Northwest
region.
Lane Hires Regional VP

Ashley Monroe
has been appointed
regional vice president
with Lane
Management.
Monroe will supervise
the management
of the firm’s
rental communities
in the Southeast. Formerly, she
worked as a regional director for
Centrum Management.
Arbor Appoints
Directors

Thomas Christopher has been
appointed director in Arbor
Commercial Mortgage’s office in
Darien, Conn. Christopher will be
responsible for all of Arbor’s loan
products including Fannie Mae,
Federal Housing Administration, and
conduit loans. Prior to joining Arbor,
he served at Countrywide
Commercial Real Estate Finance,
where he was a founding member of
the company’s Advantage Loan program.
Additionally, Robert Anderson
has been appointed director of
Arbor’s Atlanta office. Anderson previously
served as regional director
with Hometown Commercial Capital.
Walker & Dunlop
Names SVP

Paul Bernard has joined Walker &
Dunlop as senior vice president in the
principal investments group. Bernard
will lead the group’s client relations
efforts and assist in broadening the
fund management platform at the
multifamily financial services firm.
He formerly was a principal at MMA
Realty Capital.
