Arbor Appoints Director, Promotes Operations Pro

APARTMENT FINANCE TODAY • June 2008

Peter Margolin has been appointed director in Arbor Commercial Mortgage’s Chicago office. Margolin will be responsible for all of the firm’s loan offerings. He formerly served at LaSalle Bank, where he generated more than $500 million in smallbalance multifamily transactions.

Additionally, Valerie Sganga has been promoted to vice president of operations for Arbor Commercial Mortgage. Sganga will manage the legal due diligence and closing of Fannie Mae and structured transactions. She will also be involved in various aspects of compliance with Arbor Realty Trust and structured securitizations. Sganga previously served as assistant vice president of operations.

Lane Hires President

Rob Couch has been named president of Lane Co.’s property management affiliate, Lane Management, LLC, the multifamily real estate company has announced. Couch previously served as president of Centrum Management, LLC.

Beacon Appoints New Vice President

Jeffrey Potter has been named vice president with Beacon Realty Capital. Potter will originate debt and equity financing. He formerly served as a vice president with Irwin Union Bank in Milwaukee.
